From the contact form

When you submit the contact form, we receive:

• Your name and email (required so we can reply).
• The topic and message you wrote.
• Optional: company name and phone number.
• Your IP address, captured by our edge network for spam rate-limiting. Stored as a counter key for at most 1 hour and then discarded.

We don't use advertising or marketing cookies, and we don't run ads on this site.

From your visit, through Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service from Google, to measure visits to this site. When you browse, it records things like:

• The pages you view and how long you stay.
• Your approximate location (country and city, worked out from your IP address).
• Your device type, screen size, operating system and browser.
• How you arrived, for example from a search engine, a social post or a direct link.

To do this, Google sets cookies (small files stored in your browser) and can see your IP address. We don't ask Google to identify you, and we don't combine this data with the details you send us through the contact form. We use it only to understand how the site is used and to improve it.

Apart from Google Analytics, the only cookies the site sets are strictly-necessary ones for the contact form to function.

Submissions are emailed to info@astanah.com and used solely to reply to your enquiry. We do not share contact-form data with third parties for marketing.

Google Analytics data is used only to produce visit statistics for us. Google acts as our service provider for this and handles the data under its own terms.

Lawful basis (UK/EU GDPR terminology): for the contact form, legitimate interest — responding to people who proactively contact us. For transactional follow-up that becomes a customer relationship, the basis becomes performance of a contract. For Google Analytics, the basis is our legitimate interest in understanding and improving how our site is used; where the law of your country requires your consent for analytics cookies, we rely on that consent instead.

Contact-form emails live in our shared inbox until the conversation is resolved, then archived for up to 24 months for continuity. Spam-counter IP records expire automatically within 1 hour. Google Analytics keeps visit data for a limited period set in our account settings, after which Google deletes it.

Form submissions transit Cloudflare's global edge and land in our Google Workspace inbox. Both providers operate certified infrastructure across multiple regions.

Google Analytics data is processed by Google, which runs servers in several countries, so it may be stored and handled outside Zambia, including in the United States.

You can stop Google Analytics measuring your visits at any time, and it will not affect how you use the site:

• Install Google's opt-out browser add-on.
• Block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use a browser or extension that blocks trackers.
• Email us at info@astanah.com and we will note your objection.

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you by emailing info@astanah.com with the subject line "Privacy request". You can also object to our processing of your data at any time. We aim to respond within 30 days. If you're unhappy with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Commissioner in Zambia or, if you're in the UK or EU, to your national data-protection authority.

We'll update this notice when our practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
